Coach Ellen
Ellen is a native Virginian, having grown up in Virginia Beach. She is in her 8th year coaching for the Nereids. She swam at Mary Washington College for 4 years, where she competed regularly against Coach Erin. When she is not at the pool, Ellen works as a meeting planner for an association. She enjoys reading, cooking and getting together with friends.
Coach Jennafer
Jennafer is very excited to be a part of the NVN Synchro team this year. Before college, Jennafer swam for the New Hampshire Aquamarines, of Nashua NH. She competed at the National level for both figure and team routine competition. While attending Georgetown University, she co-founded a Synchronized Swimming Club with some fellow classmates. Although she never competed at the collegiate level, Jennafer still loved getting into the water and learning new techniques. This year Jennafer will be coaching both the novice and 13-15AG teams. During the day Jennafer works for Edward W. Kelley & Partners, Inc. in Alexandria and tends bar at the Hawk n Dove by the Capitol building at night. Although she misses eating lobster and taking her dog for walks on the beach in her hometown in southern maine, she loves the city and thinks it looks the prettiest at night.
Head Coach Colleen
Colleen is a former Nereid herself from Clifton, VA. She swam on the team in the 90's and her proudest synchro accomplishment is making finals in 18-19 team and placing 7th in the nation at National Age Groups. That was a year of very hard work!!! Colleen also loves to dance and was a member of her high school dance team who placed 3rd at Nationals in hip hop/jazz. She thinks synchro is a great well to get in shape and be artistic. She devotes most of her spare time to her church, family, and friends. She loves to run, dance, read, and ride roller coasters! She is coaching the 12 and Under team this year and is very excited to go back to synchro basics!

Coach Lela
Lela joined NVN in 2009 as the coach of the 16-18 team. A native of Serbia, Jelica has extensive experience competiing and coaching in Europe. Recently she coached the "25. May" club in Belgrade and assisted with several Serbian national teams before that.
Coach Sabra
Sabra who is finishing up her degree at GMU, is helping coach the Intermediate and 13-15 Age Group. Sabra swam with GMU Synchro and is a former Neried. Sabra was a member of the NVN Jr/Sr Team that won the South Zone Championship in 2006!
Coach Rose
Rose has competed on an international level in team, duet and solo. She has won several soloist titles in Europe and we are very happy to have her with us!
